Jaye was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada where she grew up and developed her love for art.  Having grown up in a tumultuous household, she often found herself perpetually immersed in art throughout her childhood and teenage years - this is where she found solace. To which then led her to winning many awards for her art pieces throughout those years.  When Jaye relocated to Chicago, Illinois as a young adult she discovered her love and talent for writing and poetry after taking her core curriculum classes while pursuing her degree in mortuary science. While pursuing her mortuary science degree she quickly discovered how desensitized the professionals in the industry could be, though she still loved/loves that field she best felt her path was meant for a deeper purpose. 

 

Today Jaye currently resides in Los Angeles, California where she continues to create pieces of art and poetry inspired by the world and the people around her. She has taken her mortuary science background and interest and has innovatively applied it into works of art by creating what she terms Remembrance Art - she creates original and customized pieces of art that commemorates and honors the departed.  In addition to that, Jaye continues to create original art that consists of mostly but not limited to expressionism, abstract expressionism and mixed media. 

 

Jaye was primarily raised by her elderly father, whom she was close with and learned many of her principles and ideals from. Sadly, he passed away in 2018. She now strives to pass on those same values and ethics that she learned from her father.  Contrary to her self-deprecatory years in adolescence, she now humbly views herself as her own muse, always looking inward for inspiration.  She aspires to connect, guide and inspire others with those who have similar souls in hopes that her art, writing and poetry serves as the nexus.
